Non-Toxic Nail Varnish in Fun Spring Nail Colours

Indulge in spring nail colours, from pastels to metallics, while caring for your tips with non-toxic nail varnish. As always, all of these varnishes skip those no-good ingredients, such as toluene and formaldehyde, found in most brands while spoiling you in shade choice. And we even have one non-toxic nail varnish brand that’s as organic as you can get and repairs as you wear.

Korres Nail Colour
If you’re craving that perfect pink spring nail colour, Korres’s Pastel Rose, £9, is the shade for you. And Korres is the ultimate in non-toxic nail varnish as it leaves out a host of harsh ingredients, such as mineral oils, silicones, acetone, phthalates, formaldehyde, camphor, toluene, xylene and more. It even goes as fabulously far as to ‘repair while you wear’ by using a lust-after list of ingredients: moisturising provitamin b5, nail-strengthening calcium, iron and zinc and myrrh. Myrrh does triple beauty duty: boosting nails’ flexibility with keratin, hydrating both the nail and the skin under it and killing bacteria as an antiseptic. Check out their other spring nail colours. Available online and in store at John Bell & Croyden.

Little BU
An EB fave, Little BU’s non-toxic nail varnish, £9.95 each, is a water-based, washable wonder, safe if spilt on your fave jeans (just throw them in the wash) and safe to use on kids and those expecting them. For those mad on metallic spring nail colours, spoil your tips with Coco, an iridescent sea green.  And yes, all their non-toxic nail varnishes are free from toluene, formaldehyde, acetone, phthalates, cruelty (as in not tested on animals) and more. Available online at and in store at Harrods and other locations in London and internationally.

Get fabulous tips for under a fiver with Mavala’s 60s-inspired collection. The collection offers a platter of pastel hues without parabens, formaldehydes, toluene, DBP, animal ingredients, heavy metals, collophane and more. From bright white to spearmint blue, their non-toxic nail varnish, £4.50 each, covers all our fave spring nail colours. Must-mention shades: Lagoon (Spearmint Blue), Aquamarine (bright green with a subtle shimmer), Lemon Cream (Delicate yellow) and White (Bright White).  Available in store at John Lewis and Debenhams.
